During the 2025 Company meeting we announced the SCS Excellence in Execution Award winner, Victoria Jansen, Site Superintendent II. This award recognizes individuals who consistently achieve excellent results and maintain our standards for long-term success.

Honoring Outstanding Leadership and Dedication

Victoria’s journey with SCS is a testament to what it means to strive for excellence in every facet of the job. As Site Superintendent II, she has managed complex projects with remarkable proficiency, balancing rigorous timelines and budget constraints while never compromising on safety or quality. Her leadership style is both collaborative and empowering, inspiring her teams to take ownership and pride in their work. Victoria is known for her keen attention to detail and her unwavering commitment to the company’s values.

With modest previous experience, Victoria came to SCS never having built a building but possessed a passion and eager desire to learn. “With this approach and the trust of those who knew how to deliver at a high-level Victoria set a new bar on how a building should be turned over to leasing and maintenance for our tenants,” said Pedro Paulete, Construction Manager – Field Operations. Pedro further stated, “Victoria pushed to raise the bar to what is now the standard for quality for SCS.”

Throughout the year, Victoria faced unique challenges that showcased her problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness. Whether dealing with unexpected site conditions or navigating supply chain issues, she remained calm under pressure and devised innovative solutions that kept projects on track. Her communication skills stand out, facilitating open dialogue between clients, subcontractors, and her team, ensuring everyone works toward a shared vision of success.

Colleagues consistently praise Victoria for her mentorship and support. She invests time in developing staff, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Her approach to training emphasizes hands-on experience and continuous improvement, encouraging others to pursue excellence. Victoria’s positive attitude and professionalism have made her a role model both on and off the job site.
