Intern Experience - Connor
As the summer continues to wind down, it is hard to believe that my time as the development intern at S.C. Swiderski is nearing an end. Over the last three months, I have obtained tons knowledge and many professional skills that I will be able to take with me and use for the rest of my career. I could not have asked for a better opportunity to work with such a great team in an outstanding work environment.
As the development intern, everyday was a unique learning experience. Every task assigned to me provided me a chance to help the company and gave me another opportunity to learn. Many tasks took place while in the office at my desk, but other tasks like company events gave me a chance to get out of the office and experience all sides of development. While in the office, my duties included assisting with research, updating files, actively looking for future opportunities, and many other administrative tasks as assigned. While I was out of the office, I had the chance to travel to active development sites, attend company events such as groundbreakings and grand openings, golf in a company-sponsored outing, and even give back to my community at volunteer activities.
The best part of working at S.C. Swiderski was being part of a great team. Everyone I met in my time here was always more than willing to help me out and answer any questions that I had. Being part of such a great team is something that should never be taken for granted. I could not have asked for better mentors as part of my first professional work experience.
As I look back on my experiences from this internship, I come to realize how much I have grown personally and professionally. Every day I would look forward to coming to work because of the great environment here. I cannot thank the development team enough for welcoming me and making this a great summer. I am looking forward to seeing the great success that will continue to happen in the future here at SCS!
Internship Experience - Morgan
Words do not explain how grateful and blessed I am for my time at S.C. Swiderski. From the day I initially interviewed, I couldn’t have been more excited to for this opportunity. This Marketing internship sparked my eye a little over a year ago, I decided to take a chance, and apply. It ended up being one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I came into this Internship knowing little to nothing about Marketing as I am studying Communications, Public Relations, and Management at UW-Whitewater. Needless to say, I only knew the basics of Marketing. However, this company took me under their wing, gave me a chance, and helped me excel in something new.
I had no idea what to expect with my time here, but I soon was very aware it was going to be a blast. There was never a dull moment, every week lead to new tasks, new adventures, and new skills. I had the opportunity to work with several different departments of the company, which left me with an array of understanding and new skill sets.
The people I had the chance to work with are so talented, yet so kind. Like I said earlier, I really didn’t have a lot of knowledge on the Marketing Communication side of things. This team was very patient with me and took the time to help me every chance they could. Going out of their tremendously busy schedules to help me learn and excel means so much to me.
I can now say I have experience in event planning, social media, writing, making floorplans, and so much more! I truly cannot explain how much my knowledge of Marketing has grown.
All I can say is I am truly honored to have gotten this opportunity. Thank you S.C. Swiderski.
Timber Ridge is Officially Complete!
On August 12th at approximately 11:30 am, SCS held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on their site, 318 Stone Ridge Rd, Waupaca, WI. It was a beautiful day to celebrate the completion of this project.
This event had great success as the SCS team was joined by numerous individuals who took part in planning this project. The attendees included Terri Schulz, the Ambassadors from the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce, and Kelly Kloepping, Marketing Coordinator from JSD Engineering.
Tom Woller, head of the SCS Construction Department has appointed outstanding individuals to lead the way of this project. Kim Krueger is the Project Manager and the Site Superintendent is Kurt Rosenthal.
The SCS Development, Construction, and Excavation teams have been working very diligently on this new site making this entire process possible. In addition, SCS would also like to recognize the Operations Team which includes COO Nathanael Popp, the marketing, and accounting teams. Without all these individuals listed above, this project would not be successful.

The six new floor plans include attached garages and modern finishes and offer more options for those seeking quality, maintenance free living in the area,” said Jacqui McElroy, Director of Business Development at S.C Swiderski.
