Being a young real estate agent hungry for growth, education and expansion I have attended countless of “selling” seminars and instructive conferences geared towards sales. I feverishly would take pages and pages of notes highlighting and circling words such as, drive-towards, pitch- to, close-them. I would stare at these words and whenever I met with a client I would picture them and attempt to practice what I had learned.
Time after time I would leave my showing, meeting, or phone call feeling pushy, over bearing, and at a loss on how to get my client motivated, fulfilled and heard. I thought it was a “me” problem and felt discouraged. That was until I learned a new phrase “Serve not sell” that everything changed. I started to listen closer to my client needs, I started showing up for the client and not for myself. With this change in career focus I was desperately seeking a new firm that aligned with my new methods and beliefs. SCS Real Estate is much more than just another Real Estate firm, in addition to its amazing quality of service in property management, SCS Real Estate looks to serve their clients and journey with them on all home buying in selling needs. Here at SCS Real estate we want agents to feel empowered to work and show up for their clients eager to educate, support, and guide them through real estate endeavors. Being able to surround myself with like-minded agents ready to deliver the highest level of quality service is just one reason out of million SCS Real Estate was an easy choice for me. We are excited to share we are growing and grateful for the opportunity to reach more housing markets in the greater central Wisconsin area to better assist our client’s needs.
Growth
What is the definition of the word growth? According to Merriam-Webster, growth can be described as "the process of increasing in physical size; forming; expanding; progressively developing." S.C. Swiderski is currently in full growth mode, company-wide!
Growth by the numbers: S.C. Swiderski had six apartment locations under construction in 2020. This year alone, we're purchasing nine additional properties for planned future development and our Construction Department has eight new projects breaking ground in 2021. We have over a half a billion dollars in construction projects in development. Our goal is to continue to significantly increase the number of apartment units constructed every single year, making each year better than the last. How does a company of our size plan for this exponential growth? By adding to our team!
The Construction Department is currently hiring for the following positions:

Alex - Marketing Intern
It’s really hard to believe that my summer internship with S.C. Swiderski has come to an end. I never thought 3 months could fly by as quick as they did. However, I could not have asked for a better first experience in the marketing industry throughout this internship.
As a marketing intern, every day was different than the next - which is probably the thing I loved most about the internship. Every task that was allotted to me had meaning and would truly be beneficial to the company, whether that be various tasks behind a desk or projects outside of the office. While in the office, some of my duties included projects like website updates, managing social media platforms, researching different markets, or creating different marketing collateral. While out of the office I had the opportunity to travel to various company sites, attend company events, as well as being able to give back to the community at volunteer activities. These tasks really gave me an overall better understanding of every aspect of the marketing industry.
The thing that I loved most about S.C. Swiderski was the team atmosphere throughout the whole company. Everyone who I spoke with was always so eager to help and was always there if I had any questions. I’m going to miss being a part of such a great team who is always pushing and rooting for you to succeed.
I really have grown so much both personally and professionally through this internship and I owe that all to my co-workers. They made every day truly a joy to come in and I can’t thank everyone, but especially the marketing department enough. I wish everyone at S.C. Swiderski nothing but the best and I am excited to see all of the success that will continue to happen in the company’s future!
